Mark S. Myerson, M.D., is one of the world's foremost experts
on foot and ankle reconstruction and injury. He has pioneered surgical
techniques that have revolutionized the diagnosis, treatment and
recovery of disorders of the foot and ankle. As medical director
of The Institute for Foot and Ankle Reconstruction at Mercy, Dr.
Myerson has built a state-of-the-art facility in which he and his
staff are committed to providing patients with unparalleled care
and clinical excellence.
Dr. Myerson has spearheaded groundbreaking
research, has authored numerous professional publications, textbooks
and journals, and developed numerous surgical advances in his field.
Dr.
Myerson completed his internship and undergraduate degree in Cape
Town, South Africa. He served as an Orthopedic Resident at Sinai
Hospital, Johns Hopkins Hospital and University of Maryland. He
completed his Fellowship at the Hospital for Joint Diseases in
New York and served as the Director of Foot and Ankle Services
at Union Memorial Hospital prior to joining Mercy Medical Center.
Dr. Myerson is recent past president of the American Orthopedic
Foot and Ankle Society and continues to serve as a national and
international resource for orthopedic organizations.
Dr. Myerson has been named by Baltimore Magazine a "Top Doctor" in the Orthopedic/Foot and Ankle specialty. Additionally, he was named a "Top Doctor" by Castle Connolly Media through U.S. News & World Report.
